Final Verdict:

Klipsch CDT-5800-C II architectural speakers have been designed to deliver great sound while remaining unobtrusive wherever you install them. With an all new grille that blends in with the wall more attractively. The high-efficiency design of the Klipsch in-ceiling speakers allows you to get much more output than most in-wall and in-ceiling speakers. Due to the long speaker wire runs that are common in whole-house audio systems, the power coming from the amplifier is significantly reduced by the time it reaches the speakers. The 95dB efficiency of this speaker means it will play much louder at low power than other less-efficient speakers.

How to Choose the Perfect Headphones For Your Needs

There is practically no one in the world today who doesn’t know what a pair of headphones looks like or what it is used for. In fact, it has become one of those devices that are so practical, and in some cases necessary, that almost every person either owns one or uses one on a regular basis.

Headphones are used for a variety of purposes, from sheer entertainment to business purposes. Because of the huge market and the ever-growing demand, manufacturers have developed so many different styles and designs of this product. This makes it easy for consumers to find a particular pair of headphones that will be perfect for their needs.

Probably the most popular use of headphones nowadays is for listening to music. People have been using headphones for this purpose for decades but with the market boom of the iPod and other MP3 players, the demand for headphones skyrocketed to new heights.

If you are looking for a pair of headphones for this purpose, it is recommended that you go for an in-ear style; typically called earbuds. Despite its tiny size, this headphone style will still allow you to experience the rich audio quality of your music. Because it is very compact and hardly noticeable, you can use it wherever you go.

Another great headphone for listening to music on the go is the clip-on. This is slightly larger than the in-ear type but is still highly compact and lightweight. Additionally, it can be worn more securely because it fits right over the curvature of the ear. This makes it an excellent choice for when you want to listen to music while working out or jogging around the neighborhood. It can also be hooked up to your mobile device, allowing you to have a phone conversation while keeping both hands free.

This brings us to the third popular use of headphones, which is for business communication purposes. Most large corporations today have an entire branch or department dedicated to customer support. Government agencies also have a similar setup for the emergency hotlines. To make it easier for telephone operators to facilitate incoming calls, they keep their hands free while conversing with callers by using headphones.

A typical type of headphone used for this purpose is the traditional over the ear style, which is still highly similar to the original design invented in the 1930s, but obviously much more efficient. As a matter of fact, over the ear headphones today are probably the best when it comes to sound clarity and blocking out external noise.

Finally, if you are looking for a pair of headphones for using with your home or office computer, you will do very well with a behind the neck design. These headphones are quite lightweight, making them comfortable to wear for extended periods. Whether you are a home-based transcriptionist or you just like watching videos online, a behind the neck headphone will be an excellent choice.

As you can see, there is a perfect pair of headphones for you, no matter where and how you intend to use them. In addition, headphones also come in all sorts of designs and colors so you can choose one that fits your personality as well. If you haven’t checked yet the top 10 in ear headphones 2015 on the top of this page don’t wait any longer, you will find only the best deals.

The trend in today’s world is in taking home entertainment to the next level. Gone are the days when folks used to rely on movie theaters or music clubs for their entertainment needs. House parties are becoming more popular especially among wealthy young folks in their 20’s and late 30’s. So, just how do you ensure that you are not left behind?

Simple. You have already pimped up your living room with a beautiful set of home theater suites. Your home theater system is set and probably your gaming system is already installed. The air conditioning system is up and running plus your windows are letting in just the right amount of light. What are you missing?

The answer is pretty simple, an excellent set of ceiling speaker sound system to provide quality balanced sound when connected to your devices. In-ceiling speakers have become quite popular. This is primarily due to these two reasons:

  • They provide high-quality audio
  • Help relieve floor-space or shelf-space congestion

The ceiling speakers are installed on the ceiling by having them mounted to frames. The space on your ceiling provides enough cavity for sufficient air vibrations. The bass is, therefore, more enhanced than when having the speakers on the floor. The best In ceiling speakers are often circular and can easily be painted to camouflage with the ceiling.

The functionality of the speaker is more or less the same as your typical floor or shelf positioned speakers. If you are hosting a house party, you will agree with me that you don’t need a large 5.1 sound system taking up your floor space. Now that you are already aboard, how do you go about buying and having one installed on your ceiling?

Things to consider before buying in-ceiling speakers:

The Speaker Frequency Response

This is one of the most important parameters you should consider. Frequency is measured in HZ and the units will be indicated in any speaker system. You need to keep in mind that your ear only responds to sounds whose frequencies lie between 20 HZ and 20,000 HZ. While buying a speaker for your ceiling, you should buy one that accommodates that much of bandwidth or closer to that.

Power Handling

Power is measured in watts. The power ratings of any speaker will also be indicated on the system. Some manufacturers will give information on both the maximum and minimum power ratings. This information is useful in determining the type of receiver or amplifier you will use with the speaker.

This speaker parameter is measured in units called decibels or dB in short. Sensitivity is a measurement of how effective the speaker is in responding to the power supplied to it. A speaker with a higher sensitivity (3dB and above) often requires half the power supply to produce the same audio volume produced by a speaker with lower sensitivity on full power.

You are better off buying a speaker with high sensitivity as it won’t put too much strain to your amp.

Swiveling tweeters

Swiveling speakers allow adjustments so that you concentrate the audio in a spot of your choice. They allow you to exercise some degree of flexibility. Some manufacturers incorporate swiveling tweeters in their speaker system. If you want to angle the speakers in a way that promotes realistic audio, you may want to buy from such manufacturers.

Speaker Controls

Some speakers come with external or a remote system of adjusting the bass and treble. This is a very critical feature to look out for when buying a ceiling speaker. Without such controls, your installation is permanent pertaining to the audio output.

In conclusion, buying in-ceiling speakers should be quite easy once you consider the tips above. You can trust that your guests will be wowed every time your music system comes up. Though the installation might seem complicated, it’s worth all your hustle.

Other Facts About The Best In Ceiling Speakers

Home Entertainment has been gradually evolving. Whether or not this can be attributed to an ICT geared world one thing comes out very clear, you cannot afford to continue using obsolete sound systems in your home. The popularity of home theaters and digital surround sound systems has hit the roofs.

Surprisingly, music systems are literally hitting the roofs as more and more people are installing in-ceiling speakers for their home theaters or gaming systems. Electronics shops are filled with special speakers that you can easily install on your ceiling to enhance the quality of audio.

It has been proven that in addition to probably clearing the floor space, an in-ceiling speaker improves significantly the audio quality from your music system.

These in-ceiling speakers are mounted to the ceiling by use of frames. To make the speaker easily blend with the ceiling, the grilles can be painted accordingly. So, how do these excellent gadgets work? The basic functionality is similar to the typical speakers that have been in use for a while now.

As the name suggests, the speakers are fitted on the ceiling as opposed to the floor. The connection wires run all the way from the music system to the back of the speaker. The following is a simple to-do-yourself installation guide:

  • You will start off by neatly cutting the speaker holes. Using the speaker, place it against the ceiling and trace around it using a faint pencil. You can drill one hole along the line to start with and then with a jig-saw blade cut all round the markings.
  • Cut a suitable length of connecting wire with cutters and strip both of the ends. On the speaker side, solder the wires to the conducting plates and apply an adequate insulation cover over the exposed wires. The other end of the connecting wire should be attached to an audio jack and appropriately insulated.
  • You can now mount the speaker on the ceiling by using screws to firmly attach it. You need to ensure that the speaker or speakers are flush with the ceiling. Cover the speaker with the grille that comes with the speaker to ensure it blends perfectly with the ceiling.
  • Connect the cables to their respective places on the amplifier or audio receiver.

There are many benefits to having an in-ceiling speaker system to complement your home theatre system. These include:

  • The speakers help free up floor-space or shelf-space
  • Minimizes the number of wires that run across the floor space
  • The in-ceiling speakers enhance the audio from television sets, movies, music, and gaming systems
  • Complement the ceiling aesthetics

The main drawback that the ceiling speakers were faced with is that it was difficult to adjust the audio. This was resolved later by having swiveling tweeters and remote controls for bass and treble incorporated later designs of the speakers.

There is no doubting that in-ceiling speakers are here to stay for a long time. But before you have one fitted, here are some essential factors you should consider.

In-Ceiling Speaker Positioning

To fully optimize the audio quality, strategic positioning of the speakers is crucial. For the bedroom, the best position would be placing two speakers one on each side of the bed. For the living room, you can have them evenly placed on the ceiling to attain a balance of sound.

Ceiling Space

The amount of ceiling space you have will greatly determine the number of in-ceiling speakers you can install. Too closely spaced speakers will interfere distorting the audio quality.

Amplifier Position

The position of the amplifier or AirPort Express system will greatly determine how the cables will appear. Having the amplifier too far will mean that you will have too many wires running around.

You can now make an informed purchase and installation of an in-ceiling speaker system.
